Overview
Leno bags are knitted from HDPE/PP tapes in an open mesh (leno weave) so air moves freely through the stack. That airflow is what stops onions and potatoes from sweating, rotting and losing weight in transit and cold storage.
We manufacture leno bags from 5 kg retail packs up to 50 kg mandi sacks, in green, red, yellow, orange, white and purple, with stitched or drawstring mouths and printed identification bands on request.

Buying advice
- 💡 Match mesh density to the produce — tighter mesh for garlic, open mesh for onion.
- 💡 Ask for UV-stabilised tape if bags sit in the open at the mandi yard.
- 💡 Drawstring mouths reload faster than stitched mouths for repeat trade.
- 💡 For export, insist on virgin granule bags — recycled tape sheds fibre.
Frequently asked questions
Why use leno bags instead of PP woven bags for onion?+
Leno mesh allows continuous airflow, which prevents moisture build-up and rot. A closed PP woven sack traps humidity and can spoil an onion consignment within days.
What sizes are standard?+
The most common South Indian sizes are 5 kg, 10 kg, 25 kg and 50 kg. We also cut to any custom width and length.
Can leno bags be printed?+
Yes — printed identification bands or full brand printing on a solid panel, from an MOQ of 5,000 bags.
