Overview

Cotton canvas tarpaulin is woven from long-staple cotton yarn, then treated for water repellency, rot resistance and mildew. Unlike synthetics it breathes — moisture escapes upward while rain rolls off, so grain and produce underneath do not condense and spoil.

Our canvas catalogue runs 400–700 GSM in Natural, Olive and Khaki, with IS 1422 compliant grades for defense and heritage applications.

Buying advice

  • 💡 Canvas needs re-waxing every 2–3 monsoons to retain water-repellency.
  • 💡 Dry fully before rolling — folded wet canvas mildews within days.
  • 💡 For food-contact covers, insist on food-grade wax treatment (no petroleum).

Frequently asked questions

Why choose canvas over HDPE for grain?+

HDPE is fully waterproof but non-breathable — moisture from the grain condenses under the sheet and can cause fungal growth. Canvas breathes.
